The Real MRSA Statistics
The statistics that have been recorded for the amount of people that have had to deal with a MRSA staph infection is staggering, nearly a full percent of people are dealing with a MRSA staph infection across the world. This means that for everyone one hundred people there is one person that is effected by this worldwide epidemic and this one person is also having to fight off a MRSA staph infection. 1% is just the amount of people that are actually infected with the MRSA virus, while a much higher percent is the amount of people that are affected with a normal staph infection. The number of people that have some staph infection that is inside of the nose is a full 20%-32%. The Staph infection that is inside of one out of four people’s nose does not normally cause damage to the infected person.
A staph infection is not something that will commonly happen when dealing with a staph infection within the nose. Often this kind of virus will even go overlooked for years and not cause the person problems that currently have this type of virus which is known as “Staph Aureus.” The main people who are at risk of catching an MRSA infection are people who do not take proper cleaning care of the place where they live, or the places where they eat. There is another group of people that is affected by the MRSA virus, and this is all people who have in the last six months to one year had some type of surgery on there body. People who have dealt with surgery are also people that are highly at risk of also having to deal with a MRSA staph infection.
To avoid becoming part of the MRSA statistics it will be important to maintain good clean health and also make sure all wounds that are on the body are covered by some sort of bandage. Doing these things to reduce your chances of catching the MRSA infection would be a very smart thing to do, also reading more on symptoms of MRSA could be a good idea as well because it could be helpful to know if these symptoms are affecting yourself or a person that you care about today.
